The Owens, Clary & Aiken, L.L.P. real estate practice encompasses the entire spectrum of real estate transactions involving developers, lenders and institutional investors. The Firm's practice includes the acquisition, subdivision, financing and sale of unimproved property; the acquisition, financing, construction, leasing, managing and sale of improved commercial property; and the acquisition, subdivision, financing, construction and sale of residential property. In addition to owners, developers, and lenders, members of the Firm have represented equity investors, brokerage companies, leasing agents, architects and contractors. Members of the Firm have handled various types of transactions in Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.
In the course of the Firm's practice, members of the Firm have undertaken the following recent transactions:
- » Acquisition of 43 health care facilities in 12 states, leasing such facilities, and closing a $176,000,000 acquisition loan, secured by the facilities and leases.
- » Sale of 18-property portfolio of medical related properties.
- » Development of numerous medical related facilities, including hospitals, surgery centers, and medical office buildings
- » Acquisition, developments, financing, and sale of various commercial properties, including apartments, hotels, office and retail properties.
- » Acquisition of branch bank facilities.
- » Acquisition and sale of raw land.
- » Residential lot developments.
- » Numerous leases on behalf of tenants and landlords in office building and retail developments.
- » Refinancing of various commercial properties.
